Farewell Filter/Thank You Dido

A lot has happened in my life the past few months, which is what delayed this blog posting. This will be my last blog entry regarding Filter. I will still keep my blog, because "mewzak" is MY blog. I just used it as one of many tools to help promote one of my favorite bands that I've been especially focused on the past few years. I will not get into personal details, except that the reason I will no longer be going to Filter shows or posting blogs about them, IS just that, personal.

The first week of June I went to 4 Filter shows and it was also the new album release week for "The Sun Comes Out Tonight." I love the album and wish the band success with it. Two of the shows were the closest the band has ever come to me, as part of the Summerland Tour. And I also won entry into an acoustic performance for 102.1 The X in Richmond. Musically, that was a highlight of all the Filter shows I've seen. It was very intimate and I'm glad I got to attend a rare acoustic performance.

Now, as I said, a lot has happened the past few months. Amid troubles, I got a Samsung Galaxy tablet as a gift for my birthday. And when I registered it online, I got some free credits to the Google Play store. So I got Dido's latest album, "Girl Who Got Away", which I didn't even know was out. I love her and as usual, the right music came to me at the perfect time. So here are some songs and lyrics from that album that fit my life the past few months. The music can say it all better than I can. So thank you Dido (which is kind of funny because one of her earlier well known songs was "Thank You" haha).
